It really is. I'm wearing fake nails for the first time since middle school and it still feels really funny. I decided to buy some for the Andy Warhol show next month to see if I could pull them off; apparently I can but not without casualties. I lost one in the shower, and another chipped on the bus. But the bus wasn't my fault!
The bus driver nearly broke my nose since he accidentally closed the doors right in my face as I was getting out. I put my hand up in reaction, and, luckily, that saved my nose but not my nail. Better then my nose though!
The reason I'm late with this journal though is that a lot kind of happened last week, and not necessarily good things. Let's just say I want to move out of my house as soon as possible, but can't since everyone I know lives in a dorm! I basically can't stand living with my dad anymore since he's a giant ass. We've been over this before so I won't get into it...
In other news, the group Through the Mirrors picture is coming along very nicely! I'm hoping to put up sketches and the inked conga line (that's what I'm calling it; it'll make sense when you see it) tomorrow if I can get the computer hooked up to the scanner. Let me just say that drawing characters mentioned in passing in the background is actually kind of hard. ESPECIALLY if you can't decide what one of them looks like! Also, I'm finding the background annoying since I can't get the ground to make sense with where Troy is standing; he's tall but he's not that tall! The art department should be deserted Wednesday so I should be able to get to the light box then anyway to do more work on it. I'm forcing myself to do everything by hand, and not with Photoshop. I hope I can pull it off okay!
