And here is Zaverick! I've always had a definite picture of him in my mind, so he was actually pretty easy to draw. Except his eyes. I had no idea whatsoever to do with his eyes, so I had to do a little research. The only character I knew of whom he resembles a little bit is the villain from the manga Ragnarok. Too bad I can't remember his name... Anyway, I really like how this one came out. Not as much detail as Charlie's illustration, but I might do another one of him to get a better artist's feel for him. And try to make him look less feminine. Or maybe keep him like this since Darklings tend to be angular buggers. The only problems I have with it are the right wing and leg. Argh, darn you angles! Especially when it comes to bat wings!! I think I need to find a drawing with angles guide or something... Maybe a tutorial... I'll go digging later though.
I commented on shadows and highlights in the other pic so i will leave that out in this pic and again i will be completely honest.
I am guessing with this you used either watercolours or watered acrylics. First you can use both to the advantage by making them very watery and colouring the whole area and building up the colour using less water on your brush. I'm not sure if this is what you tried to do on his trousers, but you can see difference in colour distinctly. By also putting a thin wash of colour down first you also eliminate the little white bits which come through.
To me it seems like you did this with one brush and in places the brush was too big. I suggest buying a range of brushes, as this will help you get fine details in.
His proportions look good though i think you need to try drawing some hands and such to help you get them looking better

It's gotta be illegal to be that hot! Although I think his hands need to be a bit lengthier like claws almost or like evil, long, villain fingers! GAH! He's so pretty!

LOL it usually is the cute ones. Although my favorite Disney villain is still (and will be until the end of time) fast-talkin' Hades from Hercules, and he's not much of a looker, so do with that what you will.
