Welp, the weather’s finally cleared up for a decent amount of time where I live! Yay! Happy Paws Walking can now do something! After I put minutes on my phone that is. :/ Yup, if it’s not one thing, it’s another, but I can wait a little bit longer.
And after some careful consideration, advice from friends, and fellow deviants, I’ve decided to not do commissions just yet. I will admit that I need more practice, and I’m going to do some still life’s to work on my shadow and highlighting techniques. When it comes to real objects, it’s easy for me, but not so much with my other works. It’s hard to figure out where the light would fall if your subject is always in your head, y’know? But I shall try my best! And look for tutorials along with my own efforts… >>;; If anyone has any suggestions for good tutorials, or any advice of their own, let me know!
Anyway, Through the Mirrors continues with its sixth chapter! Yay! I didn’t think I could keep it up for so long. I guess it’s a good thing a majority of these chapters are already written though; I’m just brushing them up and making them better. After the twelfth chapter though, I’m going to be starting over from scratch, so if you’re reading the series, don’t hold your breath. Well, you can you want, I just hope you start a few minutes before I upload the new chapters since I don’t want any dead people. Anyway, expect the uploads to slow up after the twelfth chapter. Just a tiny warning! Also, um… If you like the story so far, could you maybe spread the word? I’m curious as to see what people might think of it.
And for entertainment’s sake I’m going to give you fifteen minutes of my life:
Me and my mom spent about five of those minutes trying to remember the entire “The Ants Go Marching” for our nursery class on Sundays, I giggled incessantly over “Dinner Is Served” from the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 soundtrack (it goes right from the tribal drums to the orchestra playing in the background when Will and the gang are trying to swing across the cavern in those giant, cage-balls), and helping my little sister dig the fudgesicles out if the bottom of a Popsicle variety pack.
